We are just a five minute drive from the beach and the ferry to France, and also lie at the foot of the South Downs in a National Park, and in an area of outstanding Natural Beauty. This is an ideal spot to discover the South Coast and its surrounding countryside. Walkers will love this quiet location on the South Downs Way.
There is the lovely village of Seaford nearby and we are centrally positioned between Brighton and Eastbourne. Both Towns have many places of interest with historic values, and can boast a good selection of theatre and arts. Shopping in 'The Lanes' in Brighton is a unique experience, and both centres also have a good selection of more conventional shops aswell.
Directions to Barn Owls Cottages & The Lodge B&B at Foxhole Farm & Key pick up
Firstly, please remember that key pick up is between the hours of 3&4pm unless you have requested otherwise. This is important to remember as we are not on site all the time, and unless you contact us saying that you cannot make this time, you may not be able to collect your keys and gain entry to your cottage immediately on your arrival.
From the M25, leave at junction 7 onto the M23 to Gatwick and Brighton. The M23 becomes the A23 and you stay on that until you pass through the Brighton Pillars. After the pillars keep left and follow signs for the A27 to Lewes and Newhaven. The journey takes approximately 20 minutes from here.
Once on the A27 you will encounter three roundabouts. You go straight across the first two, and at the third you turn right onto the A26 to Newhaven. Follow this long windy road for several miles until you pass Three Ponds Holiday Park on your left. Shortly after that, the road forks. Take the left-hand fork directing you to Denton Island and Paradise Park. You will pass Paradise Park on your right. Keep following that road until you come to the final roundabout. Here you turn left onto the A259 coastal road towards Seaford .
The road travels round in a large ‘S’ shaped bend. After that is the sign on the left for ‘Barn Owls Cottages, Foxhole Farm’, which is just before the bus stop. The entrance is quite concealed and bumpy, so slow right down when turning into the lane.
The Old Farmhouse and Barn Owls cottages are located at the end of the lane. We have the property with the large paved driveway, and we are the house that sits right in the middle. When the lane forks please take the fork to the right and come onto our drive in the front garden to park your car. There is ample parking on the left-hand side.
Have a safe journey!
