South Downs Way  - step out of our gate and into the South Downs national park. Starting in Lewes, experience the breath taking scenery whilst walking through to Pyecombe or Southease. From Seaford, follow the Southy Downs Way again to Pyecombe or further afield to Eastbourne.

Alfriston village - a beautiful quaint old English village with its lovely tea rooms and shops.

Historic town of Lewes with its mixture of ancient Norman castle, Anne of Cleeves house/museum and modern shops.

The Cuckmere Haven with its winding river down to the sea, and the famous coastguard cottages.

The Seven Sisters white cliffs along the coastline.

Drusillas park, with its amazing small zoo and playland.

Middle Farm, where you can meet all your farmyard favourites, visit the award winning farm shop selling fresh local produce, and their delightful gift shop, take home a plant from the nursery, or sample a cider from their national collection of ciders and perrys.

Newhaven Fort, a victorian fortress used in world wars l and ll and discover the amazing network of underground tunnels and huge gun emplacements.

Brighton with its historic Royal Pavillion, Pier,extensive shopping centre and unique shopping experience in the Lanes with its tiny winding streets offering exclusive, individual and unusual merchandise.

Eastbourne, with its beautiful floral saefront, Pier, pebble beaches and Fort Fun & Rockys amusement Park for the younger generation.

Local Attractions

At the end of the drive there is a good bus service and a train station just five minutes drive away. The beautiful town and beaches of Seaford are on your doorstep, as is the Newhaven ferry service to France if you fancy a short trip abroad. Within a thirty minute drive you will find Lewes and Eastbourne in one direction, and Brighton and Hove in the other. All with historic places, and lots to see and do.
